Life of Font questions the traditionally dominant role of type designer, reimagining typefaces as living entities capable of self-evolution. The process is achieved through cellular automata, a discrete mathematical model that represents a grid of ‘living’ or ‘dead’ cells driven by the states of neighboring cells.

I ended up collecting six rules along with their typographic applications into the book, Life of Font. The book includes output lists and typographic applications, which serve not only as a manual for the generative approach but also as a reference for its endless possibilities.
