Convex / Concave: Belgian Contemporary Art is an exhibition curated by Dirk Snauwaert from WIELS and TANK Shanghai’s mutual respect and passion for the cultures and arts of the two countries in 2019. I redesigned the visual identity that showcases the concept, features, and considerations of the exhibition. The basic framework of the visual concept is highly inspired by the Chinese characters of Convex/Concave (凸/凹) and how Belgian art distinguishes itself by its meticulous, precise and detailed observation, not of the grand schemes of philosophers or theoreticians, but of the everyday world.
